adna agates 1

Here are some more agates from Adna after their acid bath my pictures stink lol. I will keep working on it.

Well here is a little bit about myself. I am 44 years old I live in Tacoma. You can meet my family down below. I have always enjoyed beach combing and really enjoyed when I found an agate but they were few and far between where I was. When I was young we used to go to Agate Beach on the Straits and that place was fantastic but you can't go there anymore. I purchased a rock tumbler because we had so much beach material I thought why not polish it up. I would look up articles online about rocks and tumbling and that is how I came to be here. I was surfing the web and came upon this wiki and was amazed at how willing everyone was to share information and the comraderie I saw. I probably watched the posts for a month or so before I joined. I was a little leary because I don't have much rockhounding experience but you all made me feel right at home and I am thrilled to be here.

How I first got into treasure hunting...I first started with beachcombing on the northern Washington Coast and Agate Beach on the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

My treasure hunting obsession(s): I love agates and petrified wood I am sure I will find more obsessions as I expand my horizons.

MY FINDS

bottles
Description of treasure:These are some bottles and a horseshoe I found near an old homestead when we were installing some pipe. Not the best background lol my tumbler oh well.

Where I found it:Near Harts Lake in Pierce County

How I found it:Backhoe ground person when I first started with Pierce County. You watch the operator dig you are his eyes since he can't see very good in the hole. I spotted these in the bucket on one of his scoops I was lucky he got under them and didn't smash them.
