MY FINDS
Dust Devil Mine Tricolor sunstone carving

Description of treasure: Sunstone carving by David Gray from a 110-carat tri-color stone.

Where I found it: Dust Devil Mine, Plush, Oregon

How I found it:With my Trusty BoscHammer, of course!

Appraisal information: Doesn't matter what it's worth, it's mine! I mean really, who cares what it's worth? All this "what's it worth?" talk makes my stomach churn.

Fossil Miocene Whale Skull

Description of treasure:"Wally the Whale" a Miocene fossil whale skull from Coos Bay Oregon, this is not NARG's skull but a similar species

Where I found it:Coos Bay, Oregon

How I found it:Walking the beach looking for fossil scallops. The locals were already aware of the skull, I just kicked around the idea of digging it and donating it to the Oregon geology museum at Corvallis. My fossil club NARG organized a trip and dug the skull. We are currently preparing it for identification. It is probably a a new genus and species of whale.of whale.

Appraisal information: Significant fossil finds are priceless
