I was just reading your who am I . I read that you want to do wood slabs and put them in tables! That is really great,my uncle did those years ago. He lived in Wenatchee,Wa. and the way I was told he kind of invented the process of doing the tables. His name was Bruce Sanford so some older rock hounds might have known him. I was also told by him that he invented the sphere machine. He has been gone for quite a few years and don't know if anybody is left that knew him. He also did carving, and I remember one bust of his wife he did and you would swear that it was going to talk to you. I have some pic's of his tables in storage still I think. When we get out there I will be sure you get to see them. I helped on one table and I loved it, long process and I'm sure they have improved on the prcess by now. He also put little lights under the edge of the tables to enhance the look! If you want I can kinda of tell you his process as I remember it.
