During a BSc from the OU (Milton KeyesUK), I discovered geology and in particular fell in love with the Silicas. I live in Israel and there are no sites which one can collect such stones so I sit at home, using the Internet to bring the stones to me. It was during such a search i came across this site and such great people. I got in touch with Don Esch and bought some of his fabulous thundereggs. I have a small collection of thundereggs, but these are my favorites; the beautiful red matrix contrasting with the blue quartz chalcedony and other fascinating "bits" and patterns within them. The more you look into them the more you realize the grandiosity of Nature and the exquisite formation she produces
