1. Safety first, all sites are seasonal, don't get caught in the desert in the summer etc.. Keep an eye to the sky, know the forecast for the area your hunting in.
2. Courtesy, Fill in your holes, respect private property, obey all laws.
3. Some treasures are priceless, because of who you found them with. Bring your kids.
4. Make sure your vehicle is in good running condition, with more than enough gas.
5. Bring plenty of water, 1 gallon per person, per day.
