Peacock mine in Nevada
Jan 5 2008, 5:19 PM EST
I'd be interested in hearing from someone who's been to the Peacock mine, or other black opal mines in northern Nevada. Last year's show gave a good account of the site and it seems like one of the best places to be able to dig in virgin material for extremely valuable gems. Thanks.

I have never been tot he Peacock mine, but we are trying to plan a vacation this summer that will include a visit to the mine. I would really like to get some of that black opal. It is beautiful for sure. Just as long as it is stable and iw workable. I don't know if this post will go out to the regular discussion board as it is "a comment in my profile". Never had one like this before. If this doesn't make it to the regular discussion board, you may want to repost your request there.
