More about me...

How I first got into treasure hunting...
I started picking up Apache Tears at the age of 6.

My treasure hunting obsession(s):

I love to do all kinds of rock hunting.

My most exciting find:
My big petrified wood knot. I was floating down the North Platte River
and tied my raft to a knot. I was taking a break from floating and doing some rock hunting and noticed that my raft and knot were floating away. It was then I realized that I tied my raft to a large petrified knot and not to a knot on a tree root. You all know what I did then. Right the knot went into the raft and home with me.

My favorite places to look for treasure:
Wyoming, Washington,Montana,Arizona,Nevada are my best ones, but I will rock hunt anywhere I end up.

My favorite treasure hunting techniques:
Do research first of the place you want to go.
Pack the day before so you aren't so rushed that morning.
Always have plenty of food and water.
Always clean your rock tools after each use.

My treasure hunt toolkit contains...
Small shovel, Large shovel, gloves, rock hammer (large and small),
spray bottle, extra water for the spray bottle, baggies, cloth sacks,
buckets, knee pads, goggles, magnified glass, camera, tri-pod, maps, first aid kit (well supplied) and snake bite kit.

I'm presently hunting for...
Anything that is interesting.

Recommended treasure hunting resources:
Google , rock books, magazines, rock clubs and talk to the older people in the area you are hunting in.
