I have everything you listed in rough or slab. Some may be in low quantity. I would have to look. I do not carry Apache Rhyolite it is over priced in the rough is quite soft and the plumes are much smaller than you think. Most of the material is waist so I stay away from it. I have alot of rough from Indonesia that I import like agatized coral, sagenite, moss/plume, feather jasper, rare purple chalcedony as well as the very rare type that has purple and white fortification. I have rare Texas Llanite, agates, jaspers and stuff from other places. Also have Andamooka matrix opal and more.

I have worked on most saws and helped a guy build them from scratch. Would need to look at to see what it takes for repairs. If you can tighten it, it might help. Two other things you will need to look at too includes: is the blade lined up correctly to the feed, and, has the blade become dished. If you do not live too far away, could come over and take a look.As far as rough, I have lots of nice Maury Mt. I dug 10-12 years ago, Graveyard plume agate, pretty much a wide variety of most. Crazy lace not too much though. |

I have been doing rocks for over 40 years and I feel like a hard head, but what is Mozarkite? I have lots of rough from quite a few different places, and do trade. We can still shipped 40 pounds for $9 which works real well. Maybe we can start posting prices someplace for everyone to look at that are interested in getting rough. Some of it I have no idea what to charge.

Mozarkite, an attractive highly colored rock, is unique to Missouri. Prized highly by the Indians for making arrows, it is a crypto crystalline variety of quartz, consisting mainly of chert or flint, jasper and chalcedony. It has the hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale which qualifies it as a suitable material for semi-precious gemstone. Colors range from pinks, purples, browns and blues.

I am interested in trading material that will cut good cabochons. Most mozarkite and Ohio flint is not good top grade cabochon material. It lacks a good yield from the rough. There is some that is.

Hi sagebrshminers. Thanks for the info on the saw. I tightend everything. The I checked the hydrolic fluid can, and it was really low and full of gunk. It has a hydrolic feed. So now I have to clean it out and replace the fluid. I've never done this before Any suggestions? How much doe you want for your Maury Mountain Moss and Graveyard Plume? thanks Joan |
