| More about me... I've been into treasure hunting since I was a Cub Scout. To earn a geology merit badge, I wrote to geologists and asked where metals came from. People sent me cool rocks from everywhere, and I was hooked. Mostly I collect minerals, but I've also searched for bottles, coins, gold nuggets, old books, and historic artifacts. I've had the good fortune to work for museums in search of treasure, and now own several world class mineral localities. Kirsten and the Cash & Treasures crew visited my Canadian fluorite mine, Rock Candy Mountain in summer, 2007. Our show first aired in April, 2008. In August, 08, Kirsten & I helicoptered to Spruce Ridge, my Washington quartz & pyrite property, where she collected a fine specimen of pyrite cubes nestled in a spray of clear quartz crystals. You'll see our adventures soon on the Travel Channel. My treasure hunt toolkit contains...a truckload of bars, hammers, shovels, chisels, rock drills and explosives! I'm presently hunting for...quartz gems in South Africa. |
