Geocaching FAQ

Q: How does it work?
A:Well first you will need a hand held gps receiver, and to make an account at www.geocaching.com. After that all you have to do is search the site for your area. When you see the caches near you you pick one and read the description and mark the GPS coordinates in your GPSr and your off. All the site have maps that will give you an idea where to go so that u can get closer when you start looking. Just remember stealth, honor, and safety.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Outside of the cost for the GPSr its free. However you can pay for a premium membership with more tools.

Q: What's a travel bug?
A: A travel bug or TB, is a track able item that moves from cache to cache. Most TB's have a mission on where they want to go or see.

Q: What's a geocaching coin?
A: A geocoin is allot of the same as a TB, but its a coin with a design on it.
