"I have been having trouble getting onto the site here for
the past few months, The weather has been cold, hot,cold,
warm,and cold again anyway.......not much metal detecting
going on because of all the mud and whacky weather.

But I wanted to let everyone know that I am still wanting
to get out and do some metal detecting and treasure
hunting come this late Spring through the early part of
the Fall season. 2009 isn't looking up to have a very
good Job Outlook, so I might find myself with some
extra time on my hands due to the loss of overtime
and regular full-time hours getting cut back as well.
A sad reality that follows extreme cost cutting measures
being implemented by employers all around the Bi-State
area. No bother... with Gold at an all time high it makes
sense to start looking for the stuff, on a more serious
scale than what we have been. It's worth doing now.

That means it's going to be an interesting year for
people like us who are interested in Metal Detecting.

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still here
and kicking it with my trusty metal detector."

"While I think that we should not hunt on protected land, I think a felony is a lifewrecking decision made by the courts and is a little extreme. Especially when we see people who are harmful or voilent to little kids walk away with a misdemeanor and 18mo. It's a messed up system.

Doesn't cheange the fact that we should not collect on land in which we are not allowed to."
