Okay folks. On the road again heading to our mining claim in the beautiful Harper Valley area near the town of Harper in east central Oregon.

We be digging on the claim for our famous thundereggs that are a dark red to maroon matrix with pastil agate fillings and some hollows being dug. Also in the area is different types of agate and obsidian, and heard tale of petrified wood also.
This is a dry camp, so you will need to bring everything you need, water, rugged rig with fair clearance, and maybe an extra spare tire.
We plan to be on site September 25th and stay for 4, 5, or 6 days.
Bring along shovels, picks, and large pry bars since some of the eggs keep quite big--up to 3' in diameter. Nice spider web jasper is also found where we are currently digging. Since you are willing to make it out there, we charge only $1 per pound for the eggs and jasper on claim, with free digging in areas off our land. Lots of that too!!
For all who are interested, keep watching and I will post directions first of next week.
Happy digging.

Hi One and All
Got in about seven thirty this morning from the T-Egg gathering at Don's claim down by Harper Oregon.

It was a long trip down, about eleven hour drive from here. We got in about 11p.m. friday night. Don and his freind Steve were already there. Dave and Livey and their nephew Kevin were there also. We were the last to get in that night. We quickly set up our tent and got things squared then did a little visiting. We all hit the sack about 1:30 a.m. and went quickly to sleep. About five a.m. I got up and started to check out the area. It was a beautiful countryside all around the claim. Lots of rolling hills and a nice draw on the south and east side of the camp site. The little creek on the south side of the camp was full of agates. The evening before Kevin had done some exploring and found some nice stones and a piece of common opal. I walked up the knoll above camp and took some photos of the lay out. I saw T-eggs laying all over the ground, and pieces of t-eggs every where. There were pieces of obsidian, jasper, agate, perlite, apache tears, and pieces with calcite crystals and quartz crystals, And I hadn't even started to hunt yet or dig in the banks. After a short bit I went back to camp. By then Don and Steve and my brother John were up. Dave and livy came out and we started coffee. Steve started checking the hill right above the camp for newly exposed T-eggs and JOhn and Don went up the draw on the east side of camp to look for a new bed. I pulled out some stones and wood I had brought down with mee to show the others and dave brought out some he had brought with him. As we were doing this Don and John came back and Don brought out some he had with him. We had some coffeee and got Kevin and my son Phillip out of there nice warm beds togo to work. We loaded up and headed up the knoll to dig. Dave, Kevin, Phillip, and myself started inone place and Don and Livy and John went to the upper trench.
