A good 'treasure hunting' episode could revolve around the Tucson show next year. I don't ever remember it getting coverage anywhere, so it might grab some fence sitters who were thinking of trying to watch the show sometime...

A show not hosted by Kristen Gum.. Questions began to flow.. My main question is: "Why does the host always ask how much something is worth?", I have told persona here as well as other sites.. Value is based on how much is worth to you as a collector. Collect what you like and If your not sure what something is or what something can be valued, then seek places like this forum or others and submit questions.
The main point I'm getting at or a quote: "What something is valued at, May not be what someone is willing to offer or pay after the value have been determined" In other words, If it has value to you, then It's priceless. Also having something cut afterward can increase its value, but depending who does the cutting this can bring more or less to its over all worth. I'm approached often on what something is worth.. for the simple face the person wants to get rich quick.. and this is not the attitude to take when treasure hunting, You treasure hunt for the enjoyment and the adventure.. Will we get rich off of these adventures?.. Sure we will.. rich in the knowing we did something, worked with our hands and completed a task.

After watch a few episodes of Cash & treasures I went up the road to a dig site where there had been construction a couple of years ago and I found lots of pieces of what looks to be petrified wood and I also found a rusty old horseshoe that lookes to be at least a hundred years old.

I appreciate all the compliments you have sent me and others. Kirsten Gum has received only 10 compliments. She and her crew are what makes our WIKI possible. I implore you WIKI folks please take the time you send her a compliment. Click on Members, type in Gumster, go to her profile and send a compliment. I saw a post the other day where she was being trashed and vulgar remarks were being made about her. Thank you Willi for calling that person down. Lets help her and her crew. 140000 feet up in the Rockies and pulling out a smoky quartz single crystals weighing 69 pounds. WOW An aquamarine and smoky quartz cluster appraised at $100000. White water rafting down the Arkansas River. Kirsten you out did yourself . Then two days at Woodward Ranch to hunt one of my favorite agates "Texas Red Plume" doesn't get any better. You Go girl!

Thank God Kirsten is back! I just stumbled in and found her honoring obsidian in Oregon. Wiki won't let me say so in "favorites" and "places I've gone" options above - they go to oops! page, and my time is limited.
Listen, I missed Kirsten so much for a round-the-clock New Year's this year. Fortunately, I'm twice as happy having found her here. Once upon a time I hunted some obsidian somewhat to the south of there, and hung out with an obsidian tool maker. One of my favorite things. I'm not sure Kirsten was born then. It was absolutely delightful to see her now, and frankly I found the obsidian show a jewel beyond compare. Treasure enough right there. The only other remark I have for now, having gushed the whole story in short order, is that I remain concerned that she have her sunscreen on. Frankly, I'd volunteer to be on the "make sure Kirsten's got her sunscreen applied" duty squad, and I swear to God I'd be purely altruistic in applying some if need be, but I'm not positive all my feelings would be absolutely pure. Anyway, I just wanted an opportunity to express my delight that this most companionable personality is back, and I'll be looking for the show. Please consider setting up to do another round-the-world New Year's next year. I loved it last year. Don't know that I'll be here often, but if reader wishes, please summon me. Sincerely, davy B

Hey everyone, just got home from shooting the last episode for our upcoming season. i now get two weeks home to rest and relax.. and to watch the show!! I wanted to make sure you all know there's a sneak peek of the new season next Thursday, Nov 6th at 10:30pm.. Please tell everyone you know!! Travel Channel is in the middle of deciding if we get another season. I'm totally digging the new season which will air in January. 5 one hour shows filled with adventure and treasures.. you're not going to believe the situations I get myself in... my mom would be scared :) Thanks everyone for being such great fans! And if I can ask for you help, please let everyone you know.. know about the sneak preview. It's how TV goes.. but we need to attract more viewers. Stick the word up on your websites, facebook pages, children's facebook pages, on the bulletin at church, at yoga, at your children's schools, email your friends... it's up to you!!! The new season of "Treasure Hunter" will start in January, with an HOUR of Kirsten, as she hunts for treasures and heads out on new adventures, including horseback riding. You don't want to miss it! There were not many new episodes this year, what happened? They should also rerun each episode the same amount of times, some they just kssp playing over and over. Would like to be the Benitoite Mine Episode replayed as much as some of the others, what does lobster have to do with treasure?????
