Hi everyone!
I thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce myself: My name is Leslie (aka 9Pin), and I am a new Admin on the site. I am thrilled to be a part of this community! You have all made this site an amazing place to be for treasure hunters! I posted a new home page with a new look this morning. I hope you like it! Lots of really neat informative pages being added. A new one on Volcanoes, A new one Newbees Tips, Paul has added trip links to trip reports page, Terry has added a master link page that allows cross referencing , a how to start a page, and a Clubs page. There is a new page to tell us about people who have mentored you and influenced your life. Tell us who they are. Jake has helped put some order to the site. There is a whole new section on Canada being built by you. Great works guys and gals. Make your pages where others can easily add information. A page is a community posting board. TO do this we need.. 1. new members 2. lots of threads and replies What a great way to show support for Kirsten and her crew! Let's get it in the top 50 then FLOOD the travel channel management with links to show them this site is in the top 50 out of MILLIONS... That would ROCK! The post at Travel Channel is filling up with positive comments. Travel Channel has cleaned up the posts so you will not have to worry about getting trounced. The Travel Channel site is a fun site where you can post to all their shows and make suggestions.You will need to join. When you go to the link click join. After joining click discussion. Enter into the fun and don't worry about being ambusted that has been taken care of.

Of all the WIKIs across the nation we are in the top 500 at 110th place. Way to go guys and ladies. We out ranked many big gamers sites with a Treasure Site. We need to be heard by the Travel Channel GET CASH & TREASURES back on the air. There are many thousand loyal fans. I would even op for seeing reruns.

The Yahoo group LA-Rocks is one of the first and oldest on-line rock groups around. It was featured in a Gem & Mineral story a few months back. The group was founded by the past president - Brad Smith - of my rock club - the Culver City Rock & Mineral Club. LA-Rocks now has over 1,000 members, mostly from southern California but also from across the counrty since it includes people who sometimes come to southern California and want to keep up with the field trip opportunites here.
Like most rock groups, it attracts its share of real characters. Brad Smith is still the moderator and sometimes allows the "debates" to stretch out even after they have crossed over from rock topics into other areas. Being in this group keeps life very interesting. Anyway - I posted a noticed about our WIKI on LA-Rocks, since the topics discussed here will be of interest to most of the LA-Rock members. Maybe this will get our WIKI up a few notches in the rankings. Ellen

I am off to work. I just want to thank the folks who have become my friends. I have never been involved in a internet community but since I like rockhounds and sharing with them, I thought I would give it a try. I am glad I did! You have shared your adventures, your families,and friends. I truely enjoy sharing with you.
The site is becoming one of the best Treasure Adventure Sites on the web. I have worked many hours posting site information :some are my secrete favorites. I know many of you have added so much. I don't want to single out people but you know how kind you have been toward me and my wife. We laughed about my kidney stones, shared and swapped rocks, pictures, good times, difficulties and more. The Cash & Treasure folks have sent me encouraging e-mails including Kristen. I will stand up for my friends - you can count on it. If you need help with rocks, minerals, fossils or any other thing free free to write. Tom you have taught me so much about the Native American's respect for our beautiful world. Thank you fellow adventurers
