| Tunk Creek Thulite. Found near Riverside Washington The pink colored material is the Thulite (Zoisilte), the green chorme is Zoisite (no subname I guess) and the the peach colored is also Zoisite, but I don't remember it's subname if you will. I think is was something like Alavite 4-20-09 | Tunk Creek Thulite. Found near Riverside Washington My wife wants me to cut up the Thulite into slabs and essentially making tiles to put on the bathtub enclosure. It would be pretty cool for sure. 4-20-09 | |
| This was found while rocking with Talltom and the family on 4-28-09 on Lucas Creek WA. At first I though it was just a small agate sitting on the rock until I picked it up. The rock is the size of my fist. The agate 1/2" x 1/2" x 3/8". For an explaination of the matrix see the my "What it is" page. http://cash-and-treasures-wiki.travelchannel.com/page/What+it+is.... | Lucas Creek agate in Matrix 4-28-09 | |

| The seasons first finds. Jeff got about a gallon of these precious treasures. Can't wait for dinner. found 5-16-09 | Just another shot of the drool producing Morels. found 5-16-09 | |
| Our newest treasures. Well soon to be that is. This is Molly just before the treasures arrived. May 19-2009 | This is Molly, just a better picture. She is a purebred Black Lab and the father is an amazing high jumper purebred German Shorthair. This was unplanned, unexpected, and well unwanted, however, when the deed was done, we just accepted the fact that pups are coming. We had a dog of the same mix back in the 80's and 90's and she was one the best dogs we have ever had. These will be great dogs. I just wish we could keep one. May 19-2009 | |
| Val it putting on the identification necklace on Molly's first. 05-19-2009 | A better picture of Molly's first puppy 05-19-2009 | |
| Molly is beat, but the 11 pups are looking for something to eat. 05-19-09 | Molly finally taking a break. There are 11 of the little critters. 05-20-09 | |
| We generally don't get morels this large. This is Jeffs trophy. Hopefully my good eating. :-) 5-22-09 | These are the largest Jeff's latest finds. They are on one of those 1/2 cake sheet baking pans. These are stuffers. 5-22-09 | |
| The rest of Jeff's recent morel adventures 5-22-09 | This is the first pan of 2 from Monday's morel hunt 5-25-09 | |
| This is the second pan from Mondays hunt. You got get while the getting is good. All are washed, sliced and vacuum sealed and in the freezer. Of course we ate a bunch too. :-) 5-25-09 | Jeff's fossil flower he found on the 8th of July, 2009 at now an undisclosed location. He and Jenny plus another friend were collecting fossils for a grade school class at the local museum when he found the flower. Unfortunately the rock was cracked as you can see in the photo but I did repair it. It does look much better now that it is sealed. To us this is a first for such a fossil. The class will get their fossils and Jeff and Jen got theirs. The fossil is from the Oligocene epoch 22 - 34 million years old. 7-8-09 | |
| A Green Garnet found in a purchased batch of material. Jeff polished the faces of the large garnet. The photo does not really show the true beauty of the stone. But it is pretty nice just the same. 7-10-09 | ||
| Another picture of the Green Garnet 7-10-09 | This is Jeff's Stone Rose he found at Stone Rose Fossil site in Republic WA on July 12. Just 4 days after finding the first flower at a different fossil bed. The picture was taken before I have sealed the fossil. Is the kid good, lucky or WHAT??? Geez, I have never found anything like this. 7-14-09 | |
| Tim and Sharon left a few geodes for me to cut for cutting their geodes. These are the results. Pretty cool if you ask Me. We are testing some cleaning methods to remove the rust off the rocks. They should clean up pretty nice. 7-26-09 | This one is solid. From Tim and Sharon 7-26-09 | |
| This one is hollow and will hopefully clean up well. Nice crystals on the inside. 7-2609 | This is the large one they left. It is solid, but it is way cool inside. The middle sort of looks like some sort of critters. 7-26-09 | |
| Jeff's largest finds at Red Top WA on July 25, 2009 This was his first time to the top of the mountain for a dig. He did pretty good and brought out about a 1/2 of a 5 gallon bucket full geodes plus bits and pieces. A lot to bring out by hand for a 1.5 mile hike. 7-26-2009 | Rock Candy Mine Vug material and example of before and after cleaning. A report and pictures of the trip to follow. It was cleaned with a product called Iron Out and in less than 24 hours. 7-26-09 | |
