Hello, here are a couple of the first iolites faceted from cordierite from Palmer Canyon Wyoming. After I discovered this deposit in 1995 (I found flawless gem material up to 1,750 carats), I later discovered the Grizzly Creek deposit to the south. It is much bigger and I carried out a 24,150 carat gemstone for the University of Wyoming museum - but left stones in the outcrop that were >100,000 carats and some potentially as much as 1 million carats. In 2005, I found another deposit that may have more than a trillion carats based on samping. Somehoe, I can upload these photos to the treads and to the public album, but can't seem to get any on my profile site.

"Use your copy paste feature on Windows. Remember you must delete the gray blank picture spot first. Then click and do a copy paste. Or you can get picture from the photo gallery. I would love to see these huge gemstones. " Thank you very much. Dan
