Any places in Hawaii that don't require a metal detector?
Hello, I'm new to this forum so I apologize if I didn't post correctly...I was wondering if there are any places in Hawaii (any of the islands) for gem mining. I don't have a metal detector yet so somewhere where I can go and "rent" the tools for a day would be great. Any input welcomed.
Thanks Fellow Finders

Lava would be nice. I really like the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Kilauea Volcano is a rather nice Volcano. It is part of a giant hot spot that created the Hawaiian Islands. The lava flows slowly; giving time to get out of the way. And at night it is unbelievably beautiful. It is the Volcanoes that get constipated that can be really grumpy and blow their tops.

Bringing troops home, sure I would love to see it too. It is odd though that many troops that come home or are even wounded want to go back to finish the job. They are there and they are seeing that they are doing something worth while and yes according to the experts - our troops - the Iraqi people there want us there. Something our free thinking, fair and balanced press doesn't want us citizens to know. Not hunting down and killing Bin Laden is like building a bridge and quitting half way through it and then having the big grand opening ceremony with 1000's of cars waiting to cross it. Let’m go!! Who was one of the happiest people on earth after the election – Bin Laden and his clan.
Looking at history, and maybe this really isn’t a good comparison, but 9-11, Bin Laden killed 3000 people on OUR soil, Dec 7th, 1941, 3000 people were killed when Japan attacked Hawaii and that land was not even part of the US at the time. We finished the war at the cost, I believe, of 1.5 million troops – on both fronts - but we finished it (them). I am half afraid that if that leaving that area of the world will just open ourselves up to more attacks on our soil. Can we stop them all? Thus far Home Land Security has been doing a great job protecting us. More than we will ever know.
Yes history was made and will be made. All I can say is love our rocks and get as many as we can while you can cause we may lose that right! With the agenda of the president elect and the Democratic Party, we will lose more constitutional rights, the rights to use land but we will be more of a socialized nation. Is that a better thing? Then there is God and religion and where will that end. Our country was based on God and the freedom to practice our religions in peace. Separating state and God is just the beginning. Heck will we even have the rights to type something critical about state as I am now without persecution?
