  • Putting a group together in the St. Louis, MO. bi-state area. I am a serious Entrepreneur seeking funds to start a
new type of Alternative Energy based Motor Company.

Through the start-up phase I plan to capitalize on smaller
markets in industry other than the Auto Industry. This strategy
will allow such a company to grow in several different markets
to gain the momentum and financial clout needed to address
    the Automotive Industry.

Banks and lenders are not responsive to new business start-ups
in the Alternative Energy Field because they leverage their earnings
by investing in the petroleum industry.

I have assembled a list of places that are worth searching with metal
detectors in and around the St. Louis bi-state area. But many of these
places are not the sort of places one would want to traverse alone.

I am looking for some friends that are interested in covering large
areas that have not been previously thought of by other treasure
hunters. You can keep what you find. My purpose for doing this
is because there is often safety in numbers when searching
river banks, wooded areas, and other potentially dangerous
areas that most people don't usually investigate alone.

Also, if anyone knows of any good pawn shops or other
sources that handle used metal detectors in the St. Louis,
MO. area, I am interested and would like to check them out.

You can forward any commets to my email at

    carlstone@netzero.net

Thanks, and I'll be looking forward
to hearing from those with questions
    or comments.

  • Rubies Last may of 2006 when I was laid off from my last job as a machinist
in the Railcar Manufacturing Industry here near St. Louis, MO. I was informed
by my former employer that I now have a higher degree of formal education
and industry experience than one of the greatest inventors in the history of
    American Industry... Thomas Alva Edison.

They knew this because Edison invented the Electric Locomotive and they were
well aquainted with his abilities as an understated innovator, and they knew about
my background in several different industries as well which has closely parallelled
Edison's career. But I was not aware of it until they brought it to my attention last
year. Upon further investigation into the matter I learned that Edison was ousted
from General Electric in 1919 shortly before the formation of General Motors for
attempting to have a self-sufficient Electric Automobile mass produced by General
Electric's production teams without board approval, acting alone as an individual
board member as he had done in the past with so many of his other inventions
that helped build General Electric from the ground up. But that one invention pitted
General Electric against their core investors in the oil industry and Edison's work
became a liability for General Electric... so they ousted him from the company.

Learning this, and seeing the current gas prices, has presented an interesting
opportunity for an independent and capable entrepreneur such as myself.
All that gold, and all those gems... just sitting out there waiting to be found
and used for start-up capital to start a business.

I hope you are as enlightened and as inspired as I am by all this.

  • Looking for a rock hunting partner
"So Liz when did you get interested in fairburns? You have those lakers around there don't ya and what have you been collecting? You know we have snakes here and big cats here? Bob and his friend thought they had one following them around. DB"
LOL, I know you have big cats. I haven't seen the snakes. You have some huge freshwater fish there as well. Oh, and lots of deer. Just watch for roadkill driving down the highway in SD, I've never seen more large animals in my life. I saw a large cat prowling around some bushes at a fishing hold somewhere between MO, and SD at night, was a sight to see. The animals in Custer Park man that is cool indeed. Glad I don't have the Fairburn Fever, I like the Green stuff. LOL. BTW, I'd love some more weekend rocking Partners. Preferably the hardcore kinds willing to go on Indiana Jones type adventures through the Cascades. LOL;) If we find treasure thats a huge bonus.

    Thanks,

    Aaron

  • HAPPY THANKSGIVING
"Oh Ii haven't yet.Bill. The posting problem isn't with the user name it has something to do with my operating system, IE and Java. All that computer type stuff. lol

Now that it is cooler, do you have any digs or rock hunts coming up? We are suppise to get our first snow in the valley this weekend, I best get everything winterized I guess. Nothing like awaiting to the last minute. lol

    Paul

    Paul"
I am mainly getting ready for Christmas. We will have a house full with my children and grandchildren coming. Of course, most trips of any distance require a stop at a nearby site. I am going to Joplin Mo., tomorrow on business and I know of several sites on the way. Joplin was the center of a major mining district in the US. Minerals to collect : Galena, dolomite crystals, calcite crystals, chalcoprite, pyrite cubes, druzy quartz, zinc ores, fluorite and jasper. I will stop coming back if I have time. The Everett J. Ritchie Tri-State Mineral Museum has the national best collection of these minerals in the nation. It might snow tonight which will be a change of plans.
