Lookin for it in Florida
Dec 16 2007, 4:55 AM EST
I live in Venice Florida. I am looking for some other kind of "Treasure" than sharks teeth. I know I'm in the Shark Tooth Capital. I was just wandering if anyone knew of anything around this area I could do to look for "Treasure".

I'd be interested in finding out more about additional treasure in the area also. Have you found anything else?

According to one source, agatized coral is found in the Tampa Bay, the Withlacoochee/Suwanee river beds and the Econfina River. There is also conch pearl.

Try the East Coast of Florida.I hear Spanish Gold is washing up on the beaches. Also it might be worth a road trip to the various keys between Miami and Key West. Check their beaches and shallows. If you go, let me know how it works out for you. Do you find this valuable? |
