Howdy CorkElizabeth... hey if ya live anywhere near the old canal beds in Ohio... i have seen many cool items that was brought up by metal detecting out of them..coins, guns, personal things.. all kinds of fossils in ohio.. not so sure about minerals though... alot of old quarries that had minerals are all shut down now :( ... that is about all i know...so good lcuk and hope ya find some really cool stuff :)
