Great idea. We all have lots of material from our areas and with as big a network as we have we could share the wealth so to speak. I for one love to cut new material and am always on the look out for different sources. Count me in. We could post pictures to see what we are swapping for.

I kind of thought so to Bill being that the cost of travelling is getting to be outragous@#$%^&gas prices. $3.67p/g here in Tri-Cities.Natually our State gemstone/rock is Petrified wood.Got a nice little honey hole 75 miles from town which we call Saddle Mountains.Nice pet wood.

Unfortunatly Bill I have nothing in the way of equipment. I enjoyed cutting when I was being schooled by an old timer back in Jr. High but alas he died and my life circumstances changed. I collect stamps, coins, rocks, fossils, agates, hydroplane pins, national geographics etc Do you find this valuable?

In that case we can swap fossils, agates, mineral specimens however i do not have any hydroplane pins. I do have a lot of Rock and Gem Magazines and Lapidary Journal i will send with the swap as a bonus.

Would you like me to make some polished pieces of your wood? I could keep some for myself. I could make a matched western belt buckle and bolo tie?

Great idea Andy. Hey I have this big agate here. You got anything to trade??? lol

This would be fun to exchange items. What a way to get stuff from all around the country or world without going there. I do have a Biggggg Agate.... It is named but I best not mention it here.

Hey Bill,
Sounds good to me.What your addreess? I'm thinking 4th class 2 U will be the least expensive. What's your thoughts? Have a nice piece I believe which I obtained while collecting with (pvjjh & his son ) last month. It works for me ,good experimental start. I can envision this becoming a connected consortium of colaboration..................:)

connected consortium of collaberation??? Is that an old man way of saying a very good thing...lol... to be able to agree on a swap.
oh excuse me " Mr old man" way.
Sounds to me like a good thing to be able to share local treasure and swap find history and hunting stories that go with the pieces swapped.
