I know times are tough with our economy.. but keep at treasure hunting.. and take the kids with you... they absolutely love it.. and sometimes are better at spotting gems on the ground because they are closer... go for truffles in Oregon if you still live there.. I still have that on my wish list.. and you can make GREAT money when selling to a restaurant!! 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Kristen, you have helped promote the idea for families going on an adventure together. My kids still talk about the canoe trips, the camping, caving, and the digging in the dirt. They could get dirty and mom would approve. My kids have kids of there own and we are carring on the tradition. Your program has ordinary folks (Real People) having fun together, The best part you join in and have a ball. You go girl.

Hey Gumster. Did you do a show about metal detecting on a beach in Florida? I remember seeing a show on TV that caught my eye. I want to take the family down there to look for gold.. If so can you tell me where it was?
Thanks, Ken Lusk

Hi, K I started a whole new thread, in which I came to praise you, because I couldn't figure out how to post here. My fault. Too impatient for instructions. Don't want to clutter this space with copy of that post, but *Gad* I'm glad to see you (obsidian show)!! Go see my new thread. It says it all, briefly. I'm hoping I can ever find it again. Jan 10, '09 Do you find this valuable?

Jan 10, '09 Thank God Kirsten is back! I just stumbled in and found her honoring obsidian in Oregon. Sorry for talking to you in 3rd person.

Listen, I missed you, Kirsten, so much for a round-the-clock New Year's this year. Fortunately, I'm twice as happy having found hunting obsidian. Once upon a time I hunted some obsidian somewhat to the south of there (around Mt Lassen), and hung out with an obsidian tool maker. One of my favorite things. I'm not sure you were totally born then, but I think so.

It was absolutely delightful to see you now (I've missed you so), and frankly I found the obsidian show a jewel beyond compare. Treasure enough right there.

The only other remark I have for now, having gushed the whole story in short order, is that I remain concerned that you have your sunscreen on. Frankly, I'd volunteer to be on the "make sure Kirsten's got her sunscreen applied" duty squad, and I swear to God I'd be purely altruistic in applying some if need be, but I'm not positive all my feelings would be absolutely pure.

Anyway, I just wanted an opportunity to express my delight that this most companionable personality is back, and I'll be looking for the show. Please consider setting up to do another round-the-world New Year's next year. I loved the company last year.

Don't know that I'll be here often, but if reader wishes, please summon me.

Sincerely,
davy B

Gumster,
I must say that you certainly are more photogenic in the water than you are on land however your hair in pigtails while searching for & Knapping obsidian, brought a twinkle to my eye.One last word of comfort. You are & still remain my TV Treasure Hunting Diva.

SHAME! SHAME! on you sigfield. How would you like to be a woman and have something say that about you. Bet you wouldn't appreciate it one bit. Get a life and leave Kirsten alone. She is human and has feelings just like you(if you have any). 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Get a life Sigfield. What sort of talent do you have? Not a lot, I'd suspect.
Kirsten, You go girl! I'm probably old enough to be your father, And I can tell you that this old rock hound would love to have had
someone like you along on rockhounding trips when I was still a pebble pup. Love your personality. I missed you during the year that you
were gone. Don't let creeps like Sigfield bother you. The rest of us love you.

Travel Channel is going after the garbage that a few bad eggs who think they can drop out of nowhere to attack, thrash, make obscene remarks to the good folks on this site. The secrete post is a myth. When we post everyone sees it on the WIKI and if email address goes right back to the poster. Thanks for calling Sigfield's on his vulgar hate mail. The garbage will stop and our family will go back to being the best Treasure on the Web..
