I am two hours ahead of you guys so I better hit the hay. But it has been great fun looking at your urban treasures. I bet there are a lot more goodies where those came from. I will think about the yellow picture rock. It looks like Paint Brush but I know it is not. Paint Brush is from Africa.

"How thick would I want each slab?
Dave"
Most slabs are a minimum of 1/4" but you can cut at 3/8" for a higher domed cab.
I personally like a higher dome.

Post a picture of a slab off the Selway, Idaho picture rock, that Livy, Kevin, Kyle and I collected a few weeks ago. It is varnised instead of polished so I could put it on display at work.

Man Bill that is a beaut! I was told we got a piece of graveyard point agate with that last batch of rock we got. I will have to take a good hard look at things this next spring. We just put everything under cover ready for winter when be brought it home. It is some beautiful agate. Talk about cabbing material man a 90 lber, what a chunk!
