I cant wait we are gingh to franklin NC for 4 days then head to TN. have some places in mind for the area. any must see places there. We have a map that we got off here to the area someone did and checked out their website all look good anyone wanna chip in on their exp there? any input would be great. mining/food/ and just down right fun places

Hey if you haven't checked, go to the national directoy, http://cash-and-treasures-wiki.travelchannel.com/page/National+Directory and click on the state you want to look at and you may find some more info. Have a great time on your trip! It is listed in the link pvjjh gave, but here is my own site with my reviews and recommendations for stuff (focusing on the gem mines) in Franklin, which you may have seen already (apologies for the repost if so)- http://pakasdollmaker.com/gemmining.html

For the mines, my two highest recommendations are for Cherokee Ruby Mine- http://www.cherokeerubymine.com/ and Mason's Ruby and Sapphire Mine- http://www.masonsrubyandsapphiremine.com/ Both totally unsalted operations with wonderful people running them. For the food, the highest recommendation I would have given before has changed since our last trip, having been treated to a different place this time... this one, The Chef & His Wife, is just AWESOME, really excellent food- http://www.chefandhiswife.com/ Do you find this valuable?

I got lots of good info from your site bucfanpaka. will try and stop there to eat... we are leaving saturday around midnight and gonna try and get in for the last day of the gem show there. Do you find this valuable?
