At last count, there are 2012 of us who would all agree that we need our weekly fix of Kirsten. Keep the new shows coming. We all love
Kirsten, and the treasure hunts she's involved in. I might add that those 2012 people are registered users of this wiki. I'd guess that there are several million more people who watch the show on a regular basis, who haven't joined in with us.

2012 is just the surface. The number of daily hits on this site by visitors is far greater than member traffic. I have written an interview with Kirsten to do my part in promoting the show. Hope R&G publishes it soon. She gives us a view of her interests, her growing up in Alaska and Washington and her deep held beliefs, Smart, fun, attractive, rockhound type young lady.

If the next season happens, we have a tentative 'date' in Africa, on some pegmatites I've been diggin the past few years. Would be high adventure of the desert 4X4 kind, with some interesting Bushman culture thrown in. No helicopters, but could probably scare up a Death Adder or two for the adventure side. bob

I agree with everyone here, I love the show. However I do believe they need to lower their standers alittle bit, seeing it is now "Treasure Hunter" and not "Cash and Treasures" any more, I believe they are still putting to much emphasis on the (monitary) value of what they find. If it means keeping the program on TV, I would like to see them do state by state episodes, even if it means a boreing field trip to the local free dig areas with a local rock club (this would be more along the lines of what most rockers can afford). Who knows she may end up pulling her best find out of one of these areas.

That would be cool. To have them do a state by state would definately get them intoa weekly amount of shows. Especially since there are multiple treasures in every state. for instance the gold and Old bottles and agates and quartz and opal and amethyst and citrine and chantrel and morel mushrooms and more in washington state alone. Can you imagine a united states series. I bet they could sell a ton of season dvd's for a series like that.

The show could easily do 50 treasure hunting shows. Why so few this season?, more sponsors maybe.

I think the show is SUPER! I'm glad to see them branching out, but all that travel is expensive so that may have limited the number of shows they could do this year. I agree that they should feature all 50 states. To fill in the extra 2 weeks for a full year of episodes they could add Canada and Mexico. They could get a great big travel bus with Kirsten and the logo "Treasure Hunter" on the side and tour the country doing special appearances along the way to show off their finds from previous episodes. I believe what they find is actually owned by by the production company, but it would be cool to see them all displayed together and to meet the crew.

The show is great. Doing all 50 states would be the best season ever. With so many great sites to be visited, they could probably stretch it out into several years. However, with the current conditions in Mexico, I think they could leave that one out. We don't need our favorite treasure hunter being shot at or kidnapped by the drug cartels. Our northern neighbors would be great. There's much to be found in Canada.

I too live to love the show or maybe I love to live the show. lol More episodes, more states, different rocks, gems and mineral, relics, anything we classify as a treasure all would be excellent. But how do you choose just one site in the state to go to. That would be tough in some if not all states as each state does have many opportunities. I don't think a week in Canada would fly either. But if the TC could pull all this off it would be sweet. I guess they could pick several digs in a state and do smaller segments on each for the show. Wow this show would last forever! lol :-)

Dave I couldn't agree with you more. The monitary side of the show I think is emphasized to much in the show. I am no expert but it seems that sometimes the stated values seem inflated, but that is just my opinion. However, the misleading problem is the name. It talks about treasure and cash. Of course when we hear or read the words treasure the very first thing we all think about is what's it worth. Sure we all would like to go out and find a 1000 dollar or a million dollar rock, or a rare bottle, relic etc. My problem is, not that I have anything of any real value, is I don't want to sell it. If you don't sell it what is it's real value. Wondering here sorry. We are a very small group of like minded folks who collect many things cause we want them and not for making a living. Though there are a hand full that do make a good living at it. Sure I would like to sell some things to help pay for this habit, and maybe sometime I will. Most of us are collectors. But many of the other millions of viewers see it as I can find "treasures" and sell them to make a living, a small fortune, a get rich quick type of thing. I am sure we all get the drift. continued....

I would love to see the show highlight many different digs or hunting opportunities without finding out the value of something being promoted as so important. But you know what, I'll take the show anyway they want to make and air it, just keep shooting the new stuff so we can have a portion of our habit fulfilled. The rest of our habit is out in the field! :-)

Hey Paul, You say that we're a small group of like minded people. I'd like to see someone do a survey of every rock club, metal detector club, and other treasure seekers type clubs in the U.S., to find out just how many of us there are. Then encourage every member to watch Kirsten's show and join the wiki. It would amount to many millions of " like minded people ". The Discovery Channel would find out just how much of a gold mine Kirsten and her show are. They say that there's power in numbers, and we, the treasure seekers definitely have the numbers.

You are right Don, it would be interesting to see the numbers out there. I was just thinking small. The existing wiki group is what I was thinking about at the time I wrote that. We need to get those numbers here to really show'm to the TC. lol

Amen
And they were called to the mountain and they came. The multitude of like minded tresure seekers. From the four corners of this earth they came. From every walk of life they came. From every culture and country they came. All gathered at the base of the mountain and lifting their voices they all cried out as one,,,Kirsten Rocks. And the producers heard and were moved. And the sun broke through the clouds and shown upon the people and they rejoiced for they knew they had been heard. The chior of advertisers began singing their desires for air time during the show. Celebrities began requesting participation in the show. Broadcast companies began offering syndication for the show. And the glory of the pursuit of the treasures of this world were made known through out the inhabited land. ANd all became as it should be with weekly shows in two hour segments and seasonal dvd's available by cash,, check or money order.
can I get an AMEN
