The wing is still in the gift wrap but doing ok. Will see the body and fender doc on the tenth and know more.

Hi Everyone,


After everything we went through with this and then reaching the conclusion and agreement that we would respect each others post I am dismayed to see that the abuse is continuing. Yesterday this page http://cash-and-treasures-wiki.travelchannel.com/page/Sea+Glass+Or+Beach+Glass was sabotaged. Is there any way we can move beyond this and arrive at a place of respect and cooperation on the sea glass pages? I also find it very rude that this page http://cash-and-treasures-wiki.travelchannel.com/page/SEA+GLASS+ARTISTS+%26+SEA+GLASS+COLLECTORS was altered as well in a way that is meant to deceive visitors to the page. There was also a nasty message directed at me personally which makes me feel very uncomfortable and comes across as a cryptic threat of some kind. Is there anything that can be done about this?

Please write KWIN and explain what has occurred and Travel Channel will take action. I have forwarded your post to KWIN. Go to Home Page and click on contact moderators.

I find this to be an especially unethical and egregious violation as it intends to deceive people! Why would anyone want to spend their time acting like this?

Hello,

I have just reviewed all three pages by 3 members. I hope this gets straightened out by Kwin, but I think there might be some confusion. The WestCoast Glass page has not had any changes. The Sea Glass page, and Sea Glass Lovers page has had edits by more than one member. It appears that WestCoast Glass hasn't made any edits other than to their page. I am posting an album under the name of SEAGLASS WEB PAGES of screenshots of the history so that you can direct Kwin to them if needed. If you would like to review or go back to a previous version of your page I think that is possible by the (review history) link at the bottom of the page. It looks like the reference made Seaglasslovers is actually a post or thread started at the bottom of one of the pages.

My hope is that no one meant any malicious intent and that this is just a comedy of errors (I know it's not so funny right now), and that this will all be cleared up very soon.

No this is not a comedy of errors bytheseajewelry is the one with the lengthy history of deleting other people's posts. This person clearly set out to deceive others with the way they altered one of the posts last night. I think it is very obvious that the intent was malicious.

So i was just wandering , if this person can come in and make any changes that they want why can't one go to there site and take it back. I know no one wants a big fight but you know there comes a time (one has to stand up and be counted) of course i'm just a rock nut.

Lisl , Please don't get discouraged. I'm sure that Kwin will get this sorted out. bytheseajewelry is just showing us the sort of person that they are. I would encourage those on this wiki to not do any sort of business with this company what so ever. To do what they have been doing, they do not deserve our business or respect.

I've posted the photos, you will need to click the link to review the larger size. I may be wrong, but the SEA GLASS main page with the > beside it was initially started by Bill. There are 4 subpages under the main page, but it now appears that the main page has been edited today too. Do you find this valuable?

Yes some of the sea glass pages were edited again today and it is all being done in a way that is of no value to people that visit the pages. I am most disturbed by what happened last night when this person added text to something I wrote. I put my name at the bottom so people would know who wrote it, bytheseajewelry inserted a text in a way that it now looks like I wrote it. The desire and willingness to deceive others is insidious to me and makes me sick. I will never get over that one! I think the sea glass pages should be valueable for the users of this site and not a private playground for someone who just wants to play games.

I received a message from kwin and he was trying to politely let it be known that this sort of thing will not be tolerated. I am sure he is working on the problem but since he has other duties at C&T it may take him a bit. It is sad that any person feels the need to mess with another persons work. I can not get angered at such a person since it must be a deep seeded need for attention that drives them. Perhaps they weren't potty trained soon enough. Or perhaps they never learned to tie their shoes and had to wear slip ons through school and got picked on. We do not know what drives a person like this. So let us simply agree that they are not the type of person we choose to do business with nor associate with and ignore their actions. They are probably feeding off of this thread sitting back and giggling like a village idiot in an old B movie. So please keep in contact wit KWIN and he will deal with this and let us go on to more positive pursuits and let this person lose the attention they are so obviously seeking.

Thank you Tom. I think the most basic point is to get the sea glass section to a point where it useful and informative to the users of this site. The sea glass community is mostly made up of very kind people and it is sad that all of this has taken place. Do you find this valuable?

True it is sad and itis not right. Yet to keep giving attention is just going to perpetuate their actions. Keep in contact with KWIN and he will deal with it. I am quite sure in the sea glass community as in most collecting circles there are a lot of great folks. also like in most collecting circles you run into the odd jerk or greedy slime ball and that cast's a negative reflecton on the rest. So let us just fix their damage and keep building good pages and the person responsible will be dealt with and recieve their attention from the moderator instead of us.
