Hanson Creek, WA, open?? Closed?? Who really knows?? Jeep Trap...
Apr 9 2012, 2:40 PM EDT
Still a great place to hike and maybe just find an Amethyst or a Sceptor, Phantom, Pyrite inclusion or Chlorite inclusion.Possibly a rare find with Rutilated quartz, or even a Double terminated, cluster of crystals, if ya wanna work the Hard Rock, Shhh. This place may be Off Limits to Rockhounds. I have beeen going there since I was about 18, and I am 430 years old now, or 40/24, right. So There ain't neither Hell, Rick West, We just call em' Dick for short, or Did I say Hell or High Water, Thats some pretty high water to reach the 4,000 or so feet... But thats another story when the globe shifts or a huge meteorite strikes the Pacific, I mean When... So Hanson Creek Crystals, and Amethyst, etc, etc, To get there What take I 90, take Tinkham Exit and Go start looking around, After you follow 55 then 5510, thats F.S Rd... And these directions are all over. You could see my Amethesty Quartz crystal, that was , dug near the upper border of the active claim, Ol' Rick West's Claims, and He Will Call The Sheriff if you dig on his claimed lands, uhWhiner! There is enough crystals, he maybe is looking for the gold, who knows. I just want the crystals, huh, Go figure? Well Maybe a lil' Gold too, that would be ok to actually pay for Car/work, food and gas, maintenance, house?? maybe? So Doug Houlen/ Douglas Jay/ Doug/ DUG a HOLE and Made a Den to search for and find and keep on finding, my rocks, the ones I lost after I created them, lol, hahaha, just kidding, maybe... They're Mine, MINE mining, I wanna, Got a Mine, Could O, my god, Could I work it ! I need a Mine for no money down and ... hahaha, May I get my own mining operation. wanna go rockhounding in WA. Don't know where ta go ya should hit me up. I am in Lakewoood, Wa. 253 2 8 2 sell my number and1 i see 1 u in 5 hell!9 Call me if ya wanna go hounding, Crystals, Agate, Coprolites, I find em 4 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

Hanson Creek remains open, though I believe the snow has it closed right now.
Do you find this valuable?

"Hanson Creek remains open, though I believe the snow has it closed right now."And that snow could be there a while longer considering how much is in the mtns now. Great snow pack this year just as long as it doesn't all come off all at once. Do you find this valuable? |

"yes the snow has been really pushing Northwest Rockhounds this year. Snoqualmie area has had quite a bit. Wont be awhile to we can head to Hansen. If you want to hoof it thru the snow, you can get at least to the open lower digs. I wouldn't recommend it though since it a whole bunch of extra work to dig thru the snow layer before you get to the clay. Two weekends ago, I was checking on the snow levels off Tinkham. I ended up having to winch out a guy and his wife who go stuck in the middle of the road close to the railroad overpass. They were in a deep snow rut. They even had chains on, but his 4wd busted so he was a sitting duck. He was trying to dig out a tire with a stick, as a last ditch effort. The snow has been packed and is still there far down before the crystal area. You can drive a little further either north or more east, and find some better sparkly things. I was metal detecting and rockin' around Cle Elum and Liberty yesterday. Found some treasure. Saw a lot of nice agate that was too big for me to carry back 3 miles. If you explore around the region of Monroe to Baring and Index, you can find bigger things like this one I got a few weekends ago. No snow to deal with. Here''s a picture of a fresh plate of yummy dessert!
